“Sunday Scripts” - John 16:33

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

For me, this scripture is a reminder that just because we are saved it doesn’t mean that we won’t have trials and tribulations. There are a lot of things very disheartening concerning the world that we live in, but the good news is that God has conquered the evil in this world and we can have peace in Him because of that fact. Because in conquering the evil in the world, at the end of the day, He has also conquered our trials and tribulations.
