Fun Fact Friday - Diddy & Heavy D.

Fun Fact: We all know that Diddy got his start at Uptown Records with Andre Harrell, but how did he get there? When Diddy was a teen in Mount Vernon, NY, he would hang out at a pizza spot that he found out Heavy D would go to periodically in the hopes of meeting him one day. After some time, Heavy finally showed up at the pizza spot and Diddy approached him asking to be Heavy’s manager. Heavy blew him off at first but eventually was impressed by his persistence. Heavy promised that he would get Diddy in touch with Andre Harrell to help him with his musical aspirations. About 8 months later or so, Heavy came through with his promise and the rest is history.
