Fun Fact Friday - Lena, Lena, Lena

 Fun Fact: Lena Waithe was named after Lena Horne, her mom watched a Lena Horne tv concert while pregnant with her and was intrigued by her elegance and class. Years later, Lena Waithe became enamored with  the show “A Different World”, hence her production company, Hilman Grad Productions, and loved when Jada Pinkett Smith’s character, Lena James came on the show whose character was ironically named after Lena Horne as well. Lena Horne also guest starred on an episode of the show.
